I've tried Chiropractic before and it didn't help.  Why should I try it again?

Does it hurt, and how does it feel?

No! There are three ways a patient may feel after a chiropractic adjustment: 1.      Immediate relief! 2.      Some patients experience 10 – 50% relief on their first visit.  3.      At first, some patients (10 – 20%) feel a slight discomfort, and then the pain actually starts to go away. By far, the most common way a patient heals is      through a slow and steady decrease in pain.  10%à 20%à  90%à  pain is gone!

Is it expensive?

No!  Most insurance plans cover chiropractic care.  Our billing specialist will submit your insurance and call for pre-certifications.  Affordable payment plans are available.

Is Chiropractic helpful in relieving pain?

Yes!  According to recent studies, 80% of chiropractic patients experience 100% relief, 10% see some relief and 10% are referred to another health care discipline.

Do I have to go forever?

No!  However, some patients may have frequent clinic visits in the beginning, depending on the type of injury sustained, their past and present history, mechanism of the injury, occupation and lifestyle.  If the patient has a severe injury - like an automobile accident, job-related injury or slip and fall injury – weekly chiropractic visits will be recommended for several months or longer. With a minor health concern, just a few visits should suffice.  A monthly maintenance plan is recommended to keep patients “fined-tuned”.  A regular spinal check-up every six months is vital - just as important as a regular dental examination!

How educated are Doctors of Chiropractic?

Doctors of Chiropractic complete four years of pre-chiropractic undergraduate study, four years of chiropractic school and an additional year of studying for the National Board Examinations, Diplomats and /or State Licensing. This is equivalent to medical school, however, instead of treating with medicine, chiropractors treat holistically with gentle manipulation and/or various therapies.

If I am under another Doctor's care, can I still come?

Yes.  Doctors of Chiropractic complete a thorough patient health history and examination, which may include x-rays.  After tests are completed, a determination will be made as to whether you will be accepted as a new patient.

I've had surgery, can I still see a Chiropractor?

Yes!  Many patients who’ve had surgery, can still receive chiropractic care for therapy above and below the surgical region, which in many cases is the cause of pain.  Only after a complete history and examination is conducted, will it be determined whether chiropractic care can begin or continue.

I've tried Chiropractic before and it didn't help.  Why should I try it again?

Just like other professional doctors, lawyers, mechanics, etc., a second opinion, a second look at your spine through another person's eyes may be the answer you are searching for.
